To gain a further understanding of the practice click on the "Descripion"  button on the left.  I always thought that our Babcia (and later on Ciocia Irene) brought us along to visit churches on Holy Thursday as part of a Polish practice...but I was wrong since it originated way back in Rome and is common in faiths other than Catholicism. Read the description to gain a better appreciation of the practice.
